Cheaper Car Rentals is able to provide both local and interstate car hire including one way car hire to Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. We do have some limitations to the type of rental cars that can travel interstate and there are extra fees and minimum rental days required which are outlined as options in our quote and booking portal.
For your convenience, a summary of our travel restrictions is outlined below.
Older model Cars and Commercials:
Our older model rental cars and commercial vehicles are restricted to Melbourne metro use only. The older model cars come standard with 100kms per day travel in the Melbourne metro area and you can upgrade your kilometres at the time of booking. Our older model commercial vehicles come with 150km per day and are restricted to Melbourne metro use. You can upgrade your kms at time of booking.
Our Melbourne metro area goes from Geelong in the west to Whittlesea in the north to Pakenham in the east and to Mornington in the South.
Late and current model Cars and Commercials:
Our late and current model range of cars is available for Victoria wide use and interstate travel and come standard with 200kms per day of travel. Our late model Commercial vehicles are restricted to Victoria wide use only and come with 150kms per day of travel.
Travelling to South Australia and ACT requires a minimum 4 Day booking and you need to upgrade to interstate use SA/ACT at $14.30 per day surcharge. You also need to upgrade to unlimited Kms.
Travelling to New South Wales requires a minimum 7 day booking and you need to upgrade to interstate use NSW at $19.80 per day surcharge. You also need to upgrade to unlimited Kms.
Travelling to Queensland requires a minimum 14 day booking and you need to upgrade to interstate use QLD at $29.70 per day surcharge. You also need to upgrade to unlimited Kms
One way rentals:
We can only facilitate one way rentals to Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. All one way rentals incur a surcharge.

Brisbane one way fee: $199
